Worship at East Heights
Chapel Worship
8:30 a.m. in the Chapel
This early morning traditional worship celebration includes hymns. Because it is held in the intimate 150-seat chapel, it allows you to participate and feel closely involved in the entire worship experience, drawing closer to God and the others in attendance. The experience is designed to include worshippers of all ages.
Spirit Alive (Contemporary Worship)
9:45 a.m. in Hedrick Hall
Spirit Alive moves from praise music and singing to scripture reading and a relevant message. This high-energy, multi-media worship is led by clergy, soloists and musicians. It includes time for prayer, joys and concerns and welcomes those who are led to make a personal commitment in response to God’s message.
Children, youth and adult Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m.

PHONE CALLS TO HEAVEN
If you have a grandparent, parent, child, grandchild, friend, or acquaintance who has died, you may have had the impulse to pick up your phone and call them. It may make no sense to call on a phone to nowhere, but speaking to your loved one in heaven may offer a connection. A phone call may open your feelings of grief and help you to say the person’s name and have your conversation. We have a new prayer area outside, across from the chapel where you may make your call to heaven to speak to your loved one or even to God.
This idea was begun after watching a video about a man who put a phone in a forest and people made calls to their loved ones. We thank Paul and Carolyn Harrison for putting this prayer spot together for us!
